You have to remove the lower support structure (that holds the motor mounts), remove oil pan, right front mount, alt, WP pulley, balancer, timing belt cover, timing belt, lower timing belt gear, unbolt the oil pump and pickup. You may have to loosen the AC compressor to get clearance.
New pump fits in slots on the crank. Replace the front seal on the pump. I find it easier to replace it after installing the pump.
You will need a cherry picker to support the engine, and check the condition of the timing belt.
I would buy a Haynes manual which has pictures and a detailed step-by-step instruction.
