What years are interchangeable for the vehicle listed above e 250 gauge cluster?

For a 2005 Ford E-Series Van (specifically the E-250 model), the gauge cluster is generally interchangeable with models from the following years:

2003 to 2007 Ford E-Series Vans (E-150, E-250, E-350, and E-450)

The information was incomplete. Instrument cluster need to be programed by a Ford dealer or some who understands the programming.

If you are repairing your original cluster then no programming is needed. But, yes, if the cluster is from another vehicle or the programming/PATS setup so it will not communicate correctly with the vehicle and keys. Good catch.
