Fuel pump replacement

I need to replace my fuel pump I am going to try to make a service hole with a air chisel I need to no where to cot it

Good morning,

The best way to figure it out is to go under the car to the area of the pump. It is on top of the tank You will need to mark the area with something so you can get a view from the top when you break through the floor. I would remove the rear seat and clean out the trunk.

Measure the diameter of the pump and go about 2 more inches to allow better access.

You will need to cover the hole with some metal when you are done.

I checked my fuel pressure at the fuel filter with the service port bridged key on. The best reading I could get is 30 psi. This is below spec by only a small amount. Would this keep it from cranking?

FUEL PRESSURE:

At Idle. 33 - 37 PSI (226 - 265 kPa)

At WOT. 38 - 44 PSI (265 - 304 kPa)
