Code scanner says fuel rail pressure sensor circuit A high input. What could be the causes? Runs okay for a while then the engine will run very rough and shake violently then shut off. Code came up same time had a vacuum leak but fixed the leak reset computer and fuel rail sensor still acting up.

It sounds like the fuel pressure sensor has gone bad which will cause the engine to not run correctly.

Here are some diagrams to help you get the sensor changed out. When changing the sensor a small amount of fuel should come out so be ready. Engine off and cool when you are doing the repair.

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken
