Hello, what size engine do you have, is it 2- or 4-wheel drive, and is it a Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, 4500, 5500 series? Or just post your Vin number and we can look it up from there.
Can you get to the top of the fuel tank where the pump access is? On the majority of these it looks like you just need to relieve the fuel pressure first, disconnect the negative battery cable so there are no sparks when disconnecting the fuel pump connector or removing the lock ring that holds the fuel pump assembly in the tank. On diesel engines there is a fuel filter reset procedure.
You can pull the fuel pump relay and run the truck out of fuel pressure. Then disconnect the lines and electrical connector. If you don't have the special tool for removing the ring on top of the fuel tank, use a brass punch to tap it off, brass does not make any sparks, like a metal or steel punch will.
