There is no freon in the system.

You will need to evacuate and charge the system.

So tried the Freon and the gauge went into the red zone which I would think means it's full.

Impossible. If there is no pressure then there is no Freon.

Who and how was it checked?

Went to put more Freon as suggested pushed the nozzle down and the gauge went to yellow, I pressed again and it went to red then down to yellow. I didn't want to press it all in there and put to much Freon because we had just put an 11 oz can in there earlier that day. Either the manifold gauge set (i ended up finding and buying, brand new) doesn't work or something is wonky

Okay, the third hose attaches to the can to be added. Once you attach the can, then open both low and high side valves for the Freon to enter.

Do this with the engine off, not running

Thought I would update, seeing as you have been a huge help. Took to an actual repair shop, because we were tired of playing the guessing game. Ended up one of our hoses (that has been discontinued) had a hole in it where we couldn't see (ordered the part through Rockauto and will be fixed soon), also water pump was pretty beat up our guy said (which was replaced today brand new) and we also needed a new belt (replaced) he did say the old blower motor was shot along with the resistor and pigtails to the A/C. Controls, so it was a multitude of different issues that wasn't going to be able to be done on our own, so we thank you for all the help you provided and will have our A/C going by tomorrow.
