I have a 1966 thunderbird without a 390 and a 5.0 drive train dropped in the car but it dosent run its literally a 5.O (aod automatic) just sitting in the car.

It is a good motor and runs but I cant get it running I need to fabricate pulleys for the motor.

Basically everything needs to be put on ( lines, gas, transmission, linkage etc.)

I am not to smart at any of this how much would it cost to make the car drive able again?

Thank you so much if you can help because I will save toill I find a cure I love this car I have had it since I was 15 years old

First, that is a neat old car. I understand why you want it running again.

However, you may not like my recommendation. For you to make a newer 5.0 with an AOD trans work in this vehicle, you need to replace everything including trans computer module (tcm), power control module (PCM). The amount of money you will have into it isn't worth it. I recommend looking for an engine and transmission from the 60's that will bolt up and doesn't require any of what I mentioned. It will be much cheaper and make the car worth more.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Joe
