1999 Ford Taurus, 3.0L OHV. Hi. About 4 months ago my engine ingested coolant and I got a re-built enigne which now has approx. 1200 miles on it. When the engine was put in, I had them put in a new water pump. Ever since then the engine has had a squeak which is obviously coming from one of the items and the belt. I have replaced the tensioner and the belt itself and the squeak is still there. My next guess would be the water pump, since it's the only new accessory on the belt. Would appreciate your professional opinion. Thanks.

Get a mechanic's stethoscope and probe around a little, se if you can narrow it down... There have been some issues with either camshaft or crankshaft, I can't remember which one offhand, position sensors being a source of squeaks, they might be related to the synchronizer shaft.
