Ford Taurus idle problem

My 2003 se Taurus has been idling as little rough lately. This car is maintained at the highest level possible. It looks and runs like a 2006. However, if I push down the brake pedal will in drive it runs a little rough for my blood. It was on a scanner test about 3 weeks ago and the oxygen sensor showed to be back but after resetting the system the error message stopped. Its this sensor responsible for the idle?

The only time the 02 sensor doesnt come into play is at cold start. But it could also be the IAC.

Well thanks very much, I just talk to the pepboys tech who did the scan and he thought it wan't the oxygen senser but as you said the IAC. This is a all the time thing, cold or hot. I can be sitting in a bank drive threw for 20 minutes and everytime that AC compressor kicks in it fells like the motor just got punched. Its like a misfire. But it never stallls just kind of goes below the normal idle mark. Now this IAC is located where in the engine? Hey thanks for your time sir.
