1992 Ford Taurus GL, 118,000mi, 3.0 V6. The air bag light on the subject auto flashes in a 3-5 sequence. The check engine light does not indicate any problem and the car runs fine, except for an occassional and very brief "stumble" (no particular speed), that feels more like a transmission "fart" than anything else (momentarily sliping out of gear and immediately back into gear, total elapsed time is one second or less). What deos this mean and what is the best way to go about diagnosing or fixing this problem? Thanks.

ps A good and usefull answer WILL result in a donation. I promise.

Code 35 is a resistance issue with the pass side airbag, could be in the connectors or the diagnostic module, either way you'd better know what you're doing, most online auto sites will not entertain questions of airbag repair to to the dangerous nature of working on these systems, can't just go probing around, you may end up with a bang and I ain't talking about the good one. Trans slipping out of gear isn't usually a good thing, scan for any hard codes stored, a lot of trans codes will not turn the check engine light on
