Yesterday I was driving from OH to NC and about halfway I stopped to get gas, and the car didnt want to brake. I had to force it to stop and whenever I started it back up it was revving itself up to 3500rpm, usually sits at 1000rpm. And I put it in park after a little bit and the car was driving itself, went into 2nd gear, then I just took over. I assume its the throttle, but I have no idea where it is or how to fix it.

Is it easy to remove and put back? And where would that be located?
Also, I dont know if it matters or not, but the roads were very salty, just wondering if thats the main problem with cleaning that valve.

Also, check engine light wasnt on

I didn't do anything with this yet, going to tomorrow, but do I need to clamp the eletric part off? I read somewhere else that there was coolant going through the TB, or do I not involve the TB at all?

Basically, what tools do I need to fix this?

Also, what solution should I use to clean it out with?

DO NOT remove the throttle, all you need to remove is the IAC valve on top (in the pic )
plug and two screws

I cleaned the IAC Valve with TB cleaner, had some gunk in it, I started the car up and still idles around 2k rpm, but whenever I put it in drive its fine which I think is wierd.

But how long should I let the cleaner sit for? And do I wipe it off?

Also I didnt take the plug off, I dont kow where to take it off at and I didnt want to break it
