2003 Ford Taurus car wont start

I put a new starter in my 03 taurus and it still will not start all I hear r clicking noises and it almost sounds like its coming from the fuse box under the hood and the one that is right next to the battery at first we thought it was the starter but we just put a new one in now we're lost and about to take it to the shop. And we already checked the ground wires and any other wires around the car
