2003 Ford Taurus bad shifting to O/D

2003 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 120 km miles

I recently bought a Ford Taurus wich is my 3rd one. I have experienced the feeling of driving this type of car but this one has a strange way of shifting from 3rd to 4th and to the 5th (called "torque")

Around 65 km/h (40 mph) it overshift from drive to torque with a fast passage over the 4th and I feel that the engine won't have anough power at 1200 RPM and that speed.

Is it a cause of further problems for the car?

What's the shift condition in D, not OD? Scan it for any codes, some trans codes will not set the check engine light, there should be a green OD light which would, possibly, come on with a trans issue. I don't know what "torque" refers to. There is torque converter lockup. Get it checked
