2002 Ford Taurus SEL 24-valve DOHC.

Have been having problems with a misfire on cyclinder 1. Changed plugs, wires, fuel filter and fuel Injector 1.

Car still misfires, mainly on acceleration. Engine light is on. Took it to Autozone to have codes read, came back with P0301 and P0361.

P0361 states: malfunction exists in the primary or secondary circuits for ignition coil "K".

Am I looking at a possible bad coil pack?

I don't have a listing for code PO361? But all codes 350 - 360 are coil pack fault's. I would change the coil supplying spark to #1 cylinder. It is possible the fault lies in the wire from PCM to injector. But I would go for the coil pack first.

Replaced the coil pack and it's running like a champ now! Wasn't a cheapie, it cost $113.00. But it's great to have the car running great again!
