Starting off and driving down the road, the car sounds loud with a steady noise that makes the car sound like a truck with rough tires.

Hi roger keilig. Welcome to the forum. This is typical of a noisy front wheel bearing. They will sound like an airplane engine. With the older pressed-in style bearing that Ford and Chrysler used to use, it was common for the noise to become worse or go away when turning slightly such as when changing lanes. You could tell which side was bad by which direction turning made the noise quieter, but with the newer style bolt-on assembly that GM and Chrysler use now, it can be impossible to tell which side has the noisy bearing just by driving the car. The bad bearing can be identified by running the car in gear on a hoist and listening next to each one with a stethoscope.

I think your car still uses the older pressed-in bearing. Chrysler started using the bolt-on style in 1987. Ford may have switched too but I don't know if or when. The pressed-in bearings must be destroyed to remove them but they are relatively inexpensive. The bolt-on style is much more expensive but if you replace the wrong one, you can reuse the old one on the other side of the car.
