I have a 99 Ford Taurus, V6 3.0ltr. It has been having a problem during the summer months for the past year now that I would start the car up fine, drive for about 20 minutes, turn the engine off. When I go to restart the car, it would sputter and die as if out of gas. It has gotten progressively worse this past summer. It ran fine during the winter months. A friend looked at the car, checked the fuel pump which was fine. Ran the codes and they thought it was Intake manifold runner control. The motor in the IMRC tended to stop when the car heated up enough. Now for the past couple weeks, I have not been able to get the car to start at all, the engine turns over, but thats it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
