This '99 Ford Taurus just started a problem with blowing air out of the correct selected vents. I turn on the air conditioner for either "MAX COLD" or "CLIMATE CONTROL" and instead of it blowing air out of the correct dash vents, It now blows air from either the defroster vents at the windshield, or down at the feet. No matter what I select on the controls, there is no way to get air to blow through the dashs vents. Any idea what might be the trouble?

Thanks, Steve

Most likely a vacuum issue, maybe a disconnected control hose, blowing out the defroster vent is a sure sign, listen closely for any hissing sounds from behind the a c control panel, look up under the glove box and listen, it may also be the control unit itself.
