1997 Ford Taurus Smelling gas fumes inside car

1997 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 180+k miles

I am smelling gas fumes inside the car and after driving and exiting the car the inside and I smell like gas and oil. What could be causing this?

Have you checked under the hood (fuel rail, injectors, regulator...) to see if anything is leaking? Also, have you checked the fuel lines from the tank to see if there is any evidence of leaks?
