What is causing gas to get in my oil, you can smell the gas in the oil when I check it. The car cuts out a bit, but when I changed the oil it stopped, with in one day of changing the oil, the gas had gotten back into the oil.

Hello,

One of the common reason to have fuel in the engine oil due the having the engine run with rich fuel mixture.
When you have excess amount of unburnt fuel, it can go past the piston rings and mix with oil.
First step would be to figure out why the engine is running rich. An engine can run rich due to having excessive fuel or having faulty spark plugs. Scan the vehicle for any trouble codes as it can help with the diagnostics.

Check your fuel pressure. High fuel pressure means too much fuel getting to the engine.
Fuel pressure can be tested using fuel pressure test gauge. You can rent those tools from your local auto parts store.
With the key on and engine off you should have 37-45 PSI of fuel pressure.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know of any questions.

Thank you.
