Im trying to replace the trans mount in my 96 taurus auto. I got the old one pryed out (it was all tore up so it wasnt too difficult). I mounted the new one to the lower mounting bracket (off the car) but cant seem to figure out how to get it all back in. The trans can only be jacked up so far and its not even close to being enough room to get the mount back in. Its my only car and I need it done asap.

any certain way it should be done? Any ideas would be greatly appreciatied! Thanks

Loosen the bolts on the frame that would drop down the frame enough for you to install it
Do not remove the bolts if you to remove the bolts place a jack under the sub frame before

Thanks for the help. I got it in though. Jacked up the trans then pryed back the metal that stops it from going up any higher than a few inches (metal where the engine bay is conected to the fender?) That allowed to to go up another inch or so and got it worked in from there
