Can a 1996 taurus transmission be put into a 1994 taurus if you change the wiring harness?

I need to add that the mileage is not correct. I had to enter a number though before I could submit.

it wont work because 1994 is OBD1 and 1996 is OBD2 you have to find same year or a 1993.
