1995 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 98,000 miles

Just wondering if anyone knows how much a fair priced mechanic would charge to fix the top and bottom intake manifold leak. I was just quoted at $700 and that seems ridiculous.

Rgular v6 vulcan motor is cake to get the upper intake off, bottom a little more work. You can do it with the help of a chilton manual. Both upper and lower are leaking?

Yes, both top and bottom are leaking.
