Engine Performance problem
1994 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Automatic

My cars engine is acting like it wants to stall but doesn't. There is a kind of hestitation when I apply the brakes. If I am at a light it does the same thing. What could be the problem? And is it easily fixable and about how much would it cosr if done by a mechanic?

Is the check engine light on or coming on when it trys to stall?

Thne check engine light comes on sometimes but not always.

You should have diagnostic scan done to retrieve any trouble codes, this will help pinpoint the culprit if any are stored. Most auto part stores will do this for free.
