I am a rookie who, with a more mechanical friend, is replacing the engine head on my 1997 ford ranger (80,000 miles, 2.3 liter, 4 cylinder, two wheel drive) and decided to replace the timing belt at the same time. My problem is that I don't know how to get the belt off. It seems like I have to take off the crankshaft pulley but the manual I bought doesn't tell me how. Can anybody help me?
