Ford Ranger 1996 120,000 mile 2.3 liter

My Dome Light and Windshiled Wipers have quit working, I checked all the applicable fuses in the fuse panel and all are ok. I heard a rapid clicking noise under the dash a few weeks prior to the failure. Any ideas what would cause just these items to quit working?

They don't seem to be on the same circuit, the wipers fuse is fuse # 11 and the dome light is fuse #14, the clicking you heard may have been the interior lamp relay. If they went both the same time I would check around the fuse box and check circuits with a test light. The wiper fuse would only have power when the ignition is turned on. The power distribution box is under the hood on the drivers side.
