I recently started having this problem. I will come to a stop at a light and the engine will idle just fine for a minute or so then the idle will start slowing down until the engine dies.
It seems to have plenty for power otherwise and will keep running as long as I keep my foot on the accelerator to give it a little higher idle.
The check engine light recently came on as well now.
I would appreciate any feedback on this. I did just do a tune up on it, changed plugs and wires to see if it stopped. Gapped plugs and.065 since it said to gap them.062-.068.
Thank you in advance.

Hi mcalexander, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation.

Start by cleaning out the idle air control, EGR valve and test the throttle position sensor also clean the MAF sensor with an approved cleaner

I just resolved this on my 2003, remove the cover to the Throttle body. On the Left under the radiator hose there is a vacuum hose that comes from the back of the engine. Check both ends and replace as necessary, Mine had a 1" tear in it from wear. However on mine it also turned on the MIL and geve the P)172/174 fault for too lean.
