Probably has some air in the hydraulic clutch pedal system. Maybe the previous owner let the fluid level get very low getting a little air into the hose/slave cylinder.
You can bleed the air with a helper or you can get a bleeder pump and follow the instructions that comes with the pump.
With a helper depressing the clutch pedal, open the bleeder on the slave cylinder for a second or so. Tighten the bleeder and have the helper let off the pedal. Be sure to check the fluid level, then repeat the above several times until you no longer get any air from the bleeder.
