I am having a problem starting my ranger usually when its cold. It cranks and wont start unless I hold the accelerator to the floor for a second. I was told that is was probably the temp sensor. I replaced that, the tps sensor and did a major tune-up and still the problem persirsts. Also when it starts it hesitates and runs rough for a few seconds. Any ideas?

I found a technical service bulletin for your Ranger with the same symptons. Unfortunately, I can't find anything saying the cause or fix for it. I saw something that said it might be a fuel problem but it's not confirmed. Try cycling the fuel pump and see if anything changes. Turn the key on, wait several seconds, turn off and then try to start. Other than that, start checking the fuel system. Check pressure and flow rate if you can get an inline tester.
