When I go to start my truck, it cranks, and has trouble turning over. Eventually, it always ends up starting. I had the battery, starter, and alternator checked and they are all good. I also changed my fuel filter recently and I recently just had my mass air-flow sensor and throttle sensor replaced to supposedly fix the problem I'm having. Also, it seems to only have trouble turning over when it has been sitting for awhile. If I turn my truck off and start it within the next few minutes, it starts up with no problem. It only does this when it has been sitting for a few hours. I've started to narrow it down and believe it is the fuel pump, but I'm a broke college student and don't want to spend the money without knowing for sure. Is there a way to test the fuel pump? Does it indeed sound like a fuel pump problem?

You can check fuel pressure at the fuel rail with a fuel pressure guage, should be between 40-50psi constant. I belive your fuel pressure regulator may be bad and is causing the presspure to be bled off. Try replacing it. If that does not remedy, check the lines for cracks and cuts. The fuel pump I suspect is not the problem as there should be enough pressure in there to start the car up even if the pump was bad
