How much labor is it to replace the starter motor? I was quoted $295 for a new starter motor and installation. But I have checked online for cost of the part and find it to be between $50 and $95. I have replaced a starter motor on an old Charger in less than an hour. Have times changed so much?
Thanks

Im getting anywhere from.5 to 1hour labor, depending on what little extras they might have to do, or that you might want them to do. So if you buy your part for about 100 bucks your only looking at about 50.00 to 75.00 dollars labor, you see these shops, charge you up to three times sometimes even more for these parts, that way they can put their little warranties on them and they wont loose a dime. I used to like to buy my own parts, and just pay the labor to put them on, like you are thinking right now. Forget about their warranties in my opinnion. Let me know what happens
