1996 Ford Ranger Running hot

My 1996 ranger with 116000 miles runs slightly higher than mid point temperature on normal Northern California days. However, the temp does rise when the engine is under a higher load ie: going up a steephill. In summer months, it runs a little hotter and gets real hot under loads such as running the air conditioner or going up hills. I am not losing any coolant. Your thoughts please.

Check your coolant level-find the thermostat and replace it-then bleed the cooling system
