I have a 94 ford ranger and I cant get the brake lights to work. The bulbs are good the fuse is good and the brake switch is good all work but when I put the switch back into place they wont come on when I press the brake pedal down. Any thoughts on whats wrong?

There maybe be a plug in the brake pedal that is supposed to push it. Maybe it fell out. Have you tryed activiating it when it was up there by hand?

Maybe you have a damaged wire or switch and when its put back up there its shorting out.

Thanks for your help I have tried to do all of the suggetions. What I finally did is remove a plastic bushing that was holding the brake rod tight to the pedal and not allowing it to activate the brake switch, its probably not right but it works. Again thanks agin for all your help.

Glad to hear you fixed your problem. The bushing could have been worn causing too much slop.
