I have a 1984 Ford Ranger, with about 69000 miles on it. When you first start it it starts fine, but after you drive it for a while it is real hard to start. Like it is flooded. It takes forever to start it again. One time I was shopping and had this problem, and a man came up to me and said it was a ground wire problem and by the time I got home I had forgotten what he had told me. Could this be the issue? I have even replaced the carb, and after a while it started up again with this issue.

Welcome to the forum, I'd need to find out what your missing, when the problem occurs. Have helper crank it, while you check for spark at the plugs. If no spark, we can backtrack the circuit.
