ford probe 2.0L

i have a ford probe 2.0L 1997, 75,000 with excessive oil consumption approx 300 miles to a litre of oil
stem seals replaced but no improvement and appears to be marginally worse regularly serviced. Can you help?

Before you replaced the stem seals, did you do a compression test? at this point it would seem that the rings are the problem! and at 300 miles per litre of oil...thats what? almost a gallon? This car could be used as a smokescreen for the RAF!
