Did you set the timing marks, and position the #1 piston at TDC?

Well check that by putting the #1 at TDC, pull that plug, use a wrench to turn motor by hand, put your finger on the plug hole, when you feel pressure, continue until the piston is at full travel to the top, I use a long screwdriver when it near the top, this will give you a visuall aid, place the screwdriver in the plug hole and adjust piston till it's at TDC, Now check the harmonic balance, are the marks at zero, if they are OK remove the distributor, and reinsert, so the rotor points to #1 firing position!

If you have spark and gas, time to check the compression, something went wrong during reassembly.
