Hello I have a 1994 ford probe and I got a electronic diagnosis and they told me that cylinders 4 and 6 only have 55% compression.I wanted to know what could be making those cylinders loose compresion. The place wear I got the test said that it could be many things. And that did not help me at all. So if anybody can help me with what the problem is or could be please e-mail me and I would sure appriciate it. THANY YOU

It could be for any one of a dozen reasons bad rings scored cylinder walls bad head gasket leaky valves ETC. You should be able to figure out which it is thoght fairly easily head gaskets are very obvious as you get oil in the water or worst water in the oil. Any of the others a good mechanic can figure out.

The best way to find out would be to do a cylinder leakdown test to find out where the pressure is going, in the crank case, intake, or exhaust.
