Oil in spark plug hole all over wires

i was changing my spark plugs and found that number 5 hole was full of oil over the top of my spark plug and covering my wire with oil what can this be would it be my valve cover gasket what else could it be

Valve cover gasket, it's common on the v6 variant of these cars. The 5th cylinder is on the front bank luckily so if you are a diyer its much easier to get to, just be sure to get the whole kit with bolts, and washers if you plan on doing this yourself, also look up the torque specs for those bolts, they are extremely easy to break on these cars. I did both of mine not too long ago. I have a 97 probe gt with the same engine.
