About a year and a half ago my odometer and my trip odometer quit working. I went to a salvage yard and got another one but it quit working too. Could this have anything to do with the fact that I put aftermarket rims on my 94 cougar and they are considerably heavier than the stock wheels.

weight should have no bearing on the odometer at all. Size difference would but weight should not make anything happen odometer wise at all. Might need to change the gear that reads it in the transmission though.
