Door latch

When I pull on the outside door handle to open the passenger door, it will not open. I have removed the inside door frame and see a rod that is loose.

Do you know of any instructions on how to repair the inside rod?

A year and model always help narrow things like this down. :) The rod somehow came off of it's mate. There may or may not be a clip that fell off. Check for it in the bottom of the door.
