Very well, here goes again. I own a 2002 Expedition with appx 40000 miles, V8, Automatic.
When we park it on a incline or decline, the fuel gauge will register empty. I've seen the suggestion of keeping the fuel tank full with the help of a loan from the bank. Really, is that the kind of comments you allow on this site.
The vehicle has performed outstanding with this excepption. When parked on a decline for as short of time as 5 minutes, the gauge will register empty and the vehicle will perform as though out of fuel. We must coast it back to a level area and prime it to fire again. Once back on level ground it returns to normal performance.

Ok thanks.

All you need to do is have a mechinic or if you can do it. There is a long wire type bobber, kind of like inside your toilet, a long metal wire. And it floats inside of your gas tank, to tell you how full it is. You should have that bobber replaced or it might be stuck on something. As for not getting enough gas to the car, I think your tank is or fuel filter is more then likly clogged up. Have your fuel filter changed and then fuel tank looked at, that should take cae of your problems. And no that comment was not what we like to say at all. Thanks again and let me know if this helps.
