5.0GT Engine problems

Hi how are ya? I have an issue with my 1994 Ford Mustang 5.0L GT. I recently bought the car with about 180k on it and well about 2 or 3 months into driving it I started experiencing problems when I put the key in the ignition and turned it. I would start the car like normal but it wouldnt crank on. So I would turn the key into the off position and try it again and it would jump right on. I usually dont top off the tank and ride the car like its a supercar, burning the tires up, going 70mph around a corner, you know things like that.

Well, I recently was heading towards my house and about 7 or so miles from the house, my car just stalled out and everything locked up. Luckily I have been in the accidents so I knew how to get the car out of the intersection. The engine turns over and sparks are flying, it just wont start. Well, now that the car is sitting at my house, I had my Mechanics team looking into it. We went to work on changing the Fuel pump first because we knew that it wasnt getting fuel into the engine. So I changed it and the fuel pump/fuel pressure regulator. Still no luck. Next we figured that it wasnt getting spark so we put in new Performance Spark plugs. (Ok, well the engine turns over even on the day it originally went out, it just wont start.) Then we went and bought new fuses, a new battery and some tools. Ok, here is where I dont understand the issue. We couldnt seem to figure out what the hell the issue still was and chose to start taking that 5.0L apart. Before we went with it I had some experts come in a verify that taking that engine apart isnt needed, I mean its a 5.0L and it would be a waste of time. So, what needs to be done now?

Sorry I wrote so much, I just wanted you to see the big picture of what all has been done so far. I let my team get back to work on other cars while I wait on some further info on the vehicle. If you can understand my issue please get back to me. Thanks, a friend ~SpeedRAC3R~

Have you got fuel to the injectors and do you have good pressure? You mentioned "sparks flying". I assume that this is at the plugs, right?

I am wondering about a check engine light. Has it been on? I was thinking about a cam shaft position sensor. Even the TDC or Crankshaft Position sensor. This items adjust the timing of the spark. You can have spark and fuel but with out the timing correctly working you only have spark and fuel.

If your still not getting fuel, you might want to check the inertia switch under the dash, its basically a reset button for the fuel pump, as far as I know all fords have them. The switch in my 99 explorer burnt out for no apparent reason, but is a 5 minute fix after it is discovered.
