Computer problem V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual 37k miles

I recently replaced my battery due to corroded terminals and the battery being unable to hold a charge. It was left for 2 days without a battery, and now the driver side window doesn't do the automatic one touch roll up, and it rolls up too far. When I shut the door normally, the windows move up on their own into the door frame. It is not doing that any longer and now when I roll the window all the way up, and shut the door, the glass is on the outside of my door and bows out. What could make it stop working all of a sudden, and does it have anything to do with the battery being disconnected for a period of time? How do I fix this?

It sounds like when you reconnected the battery the voltage surge took out the window motor control which is right in the motor. Here is a wiring diagram and a guide to help you get the motor changed out.

Check out the diagrams (Below) are how it is done on your car.

Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.

Cheers, Ken

Mustang convertible window will not go up automatically, Window goes down, but the auto up stopped working. This leaves my window down about a half inch after I shut the door. Auto down still works, just the auto up that stopped working

Convertible, which has auto up on the windows to allow air to escape. The drivers side does not go up after I shut the door leaving my window opened a half inch. Auto down still works, but even with the door window switch the auto up does not work. It does work when you hold the switch, but the automatic stopped working.

It sounds like the door lock/latch assembly is bad not triggering the window motion you describe.
