Okay, I have a 97 mustang gt with a sohc and a 4.6l engine and standard. The problem is that when I hit a stop sign and then after a minute when I take off, it smoke's a little bit of white smoke, and so it also does on every time I shift gears. However, it does not smoke while its idle, not even if I reve it at high Rpms. However I know that white smoke means anti freeze being burn. And I know it can be a head gasket because the compression is 135 on all cylinders and the anti freeze is clean and so its the oil. And so I come to conclusions that it can be the intake gasket, intake, or small crack on a head gasket. However im pretty sure that its the intake or a gasket because its made out of plastic and fragile.

Hi there,

You can get the cooling system checked for exhaust gasses, this is a simple chemical test, get this done and it will tell you if it is a head or not.
