My vehicle fan only comes on when on No4. Is this a motor problem or switch problem and how do I remedy it?

Hi,

If the blower motor only operates in the highest position, in most cases the blower motor resister has failed. First, take a look through this link. If it mirrors what you are experiencing, I would replace the resister. I attached a picture below showing its location. Also, link two below will explain in general how to replace it. Note: It will be located under the dash on the passenger side of the vehicle.

Let me know if this helps or if you have questions,

Take care,

Joe
