Is it possible to replace a starter solenoid in my 2002 E-350, v10, 6.8L van?
Or will the whole starter have to be replaced?

The solenoid is mounted on the starter. You'll have to take it to a shop that repairs starters, look in the yellow pages, they should be able to replace the solenoid. Othewise, you'll have to replace the whole starter.

The ignition "clicks" but doesn't turn over. This usually happens if I've worked the engine a little hard, turn off the van, then go to start it up - while it's still hot? There is lots of power so it's not the battery. And usually if I wait a couple of hours it'll start.
