Computer problem
2000 Ford F350 V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

can I rest set my computer without hurting anything, if so how can I do it?

You can try disconnecting the battery for about 5+ minutes to see if that does it. If it doesn't, you will need a scanner to do it. Most nationally recognized parts stores will do it for free, so you may just want to go to one, ask them to scan the computer, and when they finish, ask them to reset it for you.

Also, resetting the computer will not hurt anything. If there is a problem that still exists, the light will eventually come back on.

Will reset setting the computer reset any programmers that I have installed on the truck?

Resetting it shouldn't change anything like. I believe you'll be fine.
