1996 Ford F350 Starting problems

When trying to start my truck when I turn the key over it makes a loud clicking noise in the engine compartment. I have replaced the starter and solenoid already my positive battery connector is cracked so I don't have a great battery connection. Could this be the problem.

Could be the cause of the problem due to loose connection.
