Engine Mechanical problem
2001 Ford F250 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 180, 00 miles

I have a 2001 f-250 with a 6.8 - v10
I have oil in cooling system & water in oil pan both are a light tan color.
Is there any other place it could come from other than a cracked gasket, head or block.
The engine runs fine, It doesn't sound like it's missing.
Also I went to Auto Zone and they had this stuff you pour in the cooling system that suppose to repair craked heads, gaskets or blocks, what do you think about that kind of repair or will it cause more problems. I don't have the $3,000 - $4,000 to replace engine at this time.

Ok it is either a blown gasket or cracked head more likely a blown head gasket. Now you will need to change the oil and filter to get the water out of the engine. You will need to flush the radiator to get the oil out of the radiator. Now if the stuff don't fix it then I would either pull the heads and see what I found or get a low mileage engine from a salvage or wrecking yard and replace it for a lot less. Hope this helps let me know how it goes.
