Engine Performance problem
1989 Ford F250 V8 Four Wheel Drive Manual 900k miles

I have a 1989 Ford F-250, that when I go to start cranks and cranks and won't start on the first try. Everytime I go to start it, I have to crank and let off the key and the second time it will start right up. I checked the spark plugs and they were all fine, they were just replaced about a year ago and it's been driven about 300 miles since. It is fuel injected and the high end pump was just checked and does work properly.I don't know what the problem could be. Any suggestions?

Next time you get in to start your truck I want you to try something. Turn the key on for 5 sec but dont start it. Turn it off for 5 sec and I want yoy to turn it on and off like this 3 times and then try to start it. Let me know what happenes.
