I have a 2005 F150 that im changing spark plugs on. I broke them all off and bought the tool to get the rest of them out. I got the front three electrode shields on each side out with no problems. The back two broke off just like the other ones except, the electrode broke off up inside of the top part of the plug. The procelain broke off around it so all I have to do is pull the rest of the electrode out before using the kit. Problem is, ive tried to pull it out with pliers and have soaked it for a couple days with pb blaster. Should I try to use the porcelain pusher to break the electrode loose or is there another option?

Hi:
I'm a little confused. The electroid it the bottom of the plug (in the cylender) that produces the spark. Did that break and fall into the cylender or have you broken the insulator from the top and the bottom of the plug is still bolted in the head? Also, let me know what size engine you have.

Im sorry the center electroid is what I need to get out before I can push the porchelain down enough to put the tap into the heat shield to get it out. Its a 5.4L and the bottom half of the plug is broken off at the heat shield.

I think I understand now. You are trying to use an easy-out to remove the steel portion of the plug. As far as pushing that insulator down in, I have to be honest, in 30 years, I never had to do it. My concern is that parts from it break off and make their way into the cylender.
